On Wednesday, June 18 at 7:00 PM at the Church of Christ the Savior, we invite you to the concert of the UK University Art Ensemble, titled Music between East and West. We will hear a selection from the work of Bulgarian composer D. Hristov, a student of Antonín Dvořák at the Prague Conservatory (1903), inspired by the liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. In contrast to the "songs of the East" performed from the eastern side of the church, the organs in the western part will ring out with music by French composer Maurice Duruflé, presented by the young successful organist Lukáš Dvořák.

One of the motivations for dedicating the Barrandov church to Christ the Savior was the connection with the eastern "lung" of Christianity. Come join us in crossing the imaginary bridge between the West and the East built by music in our church.
